Day 13 in the UK: Crossing Borders. Today was an early start but worth it.... we're heading to Edinburgh, Scotland. I was here 15 years ago so I didn't feel the need to explore all of the same sights (I'm pretty sure the castles have stayed the same since my last visit) so instead, we ventured to places we hadn't been before.
This included Greyfriar's Kirk, to see the memorial and grave for Bobby (such a loyal dog, it was so sweet seeing the sticks for him) as well as a few graves that inspired characters in JK Rowling's Harry Potter books.
Then we hopped on the sightseeing bus as a way to get around (limiting walking helps my poor feet and may just allow me to make it the next few days) which gave us great views of Edinburgh and got us to where we needed to go. Checking out the shops, and the scenic streets.
Breakfast was the delicious Lemon Blueberry muffin I picked up yesterday. Lunch was Haggis, Neeps and Tatties (my very Scottish meal). Snack was 2 scoops of delicious ice cream (Isle of Skye Sea Salt & Caramel and Scottish Tablet) and dinner was a pizza in my room as I started the fun task of packing all my stuff.
It was a great day in Edinburgh and tomorrow we head out of the city for our first Scottish Tour! #EAThikeLOVE
